Himalayan Soulscape - The Complete Nepal Trail

DAY 01 : ARRIVE KATHMANDU

Arrive Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to your hotel.

Rest of the day at leisure.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 02 : KATHMANDU

After breakfast proceed for Kathmandu city tour followed by Swayambhunath.

Kathmandu: Also Known as Kantipur, Kathmandu is the capital of the Kingdom Nepal. Here you will visit the temple of the Living Goddess. The Kathmandu Durbar Square is with its array of temples overlooked by the Hanuman Dhoka Palace, the ancient place ofthe Nepalese Royalty.

Swayambhunath: Located approximately 4 kms, this Buddhist Stupa is said to be 2000 years old. The Stupa which forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a lofty conical spire capped by a pinnacle of copper gilt. Painted on the four sided base of the spire are the all seeing eyes of Lord Buddha. This hill is a mosaic of small Chaityas and Pagoda temples.

Afternoon visit Pashupatinath and Boudhnath.

Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath, or Pashupati, is a Hindu temple on the banks of the Bagmati River in Deopatan, a village 3 km northwest of Kathmandu. It is dedicated to a manifestation of Shiva called Pashupati (Lord of Animals). The temple is decorated with wood carvings of members of Shiva's family such as Parvati, Ganesh, Kumar or the Yoginis, as well as Hanuman, Rama, Sita, Lakshman and other gods and goddesses from the Ramayana.

Boudhnath: Boudhanath Stupa is the largest stupa and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple in Nepal. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism.

DAY 03 : KATHMANDU – PATAN – CHITWAN (165 Km /07 hours including sightseeing)

After breakfast, proceed to visit Patan.

Patan: Patan or Lalitpur, (“Yala” as it is known by its inhabitants, the Newars) is one of the three great cities of the Kathmandu Valley, which is the historical center and cultural heart of Nepal. Located 5 km south of Kathmandu valley on the southern side of the Baghmati River is one of the three main cities in Kathmandu Valley. Patan Durbar square is one of the seven Monument Zones that make up the Kathmandu Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Later, transfer by road to Chitwan. On arrival, check-in at your hotel/lodge.

Chitwan is the name not only of Nepal’s most visited national park but also of the surrounding dun valley and administrative district. The city lies in the lowlands of Inner Terai of southern central Nepal on the international border with India and houses one of the most spectacular National Parks in Nepal.

DAY 04 : CHITWAN

Full day Jungle activities which includes Game Safari by Shared Jeep or Elephant.

DAY 05 : CHITWAN – BANDIPUR (96 Km / 03 hours)

After leisurely breakfast, transfer by road to Bandipur. Rest of the day at leisure to explore this Newari village on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 06 : BANDIPUR – POKHARA (77 Km / 03 hours)

Morning after breakfast, transfer by road to Pokhara. On arrival, check-in at your hotel.

Pokhara is very popular valley among the Annapurna mountain range trekkers and travelers alike. It is a typical tourist destination with a laid back atmosphere.

Afternoon proceed to visit Pokhara including Old Bazaar and Kali Temple followed by boat ride in Lake Pehwa.

Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 07 : POKHARA

After breakfast, Visit Ki Singh Bridge, Barahi Temple, Devi Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave.

The Barahi temple is the most important monument in Pokhara. Built almost in the center of Phewa Lake, this two-storeyd pagoda is dedicated to the boar manifestation of' Ajima.

Devi's Falls remains one of the most visited Tourist Attractions in Pokhara. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal,

Gupteshwor Mahadev cave is probably the longest and attractive cave in south Asia which is located at the pristine location of northwestern part of Pokhara, a world famous tourist destination.

DAY 08 : POKHARA – PHEDI – DHAMPUS (1650 Meters)

After breakfast, drive to Phedi, then start track uphill through thin forest and farmland and scattered villages to Dhampus Village 1650m which offers the spectacular views of the snow clad mountains of the Annapurna range including the famous Mt. Machhapuchhre. A further walk of one hour will take us to Pothana for overnight stop. Total walking time 4 hours.

DAY 09 : DHAMPUS – GHANDRUK (2015 Meters)

Having our breakfast in the morning start walking to Deurali on a gradual ascent a then take a steep downhill walk through thick rhododendron forest to Bhichuk. From here the trail eases until Langdrung where we take our lunch. After lunch we continue to walk down to Modi Khola (river) to take a steep uphill walk to Ghandruk, a large Gurung Village for an overnight stop. Ghandruk offers the views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, and other peaks of Annapurna range. Total walking time 6 hours.

DAY 10 : GHANDRUK – NAYAPUL – POKHARA

We see a gradual descent walk to Seuli Bazar for 2 hours and get on a Flat land walk through rice fields until Birethanti. We further walk on a very busy trail approximately one hour to Nayapul and then drive back to Pokhara. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 11 : POKHARA – KATHMANDU (By Flight)

Morning after breakfast, transfer to Pokhara airport to board flight for Kathmandu. On arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Later in the afternoon, excursion to Bhadgaon.

Bhadgaon: Also known as Bhaktapur is an old city which was probably founded in the ninth century. This city is extraordinarily beautiful because of its ancient architecture of pagoda style copper roofs on wooden and mud-brick buildings. An authentic representation of the Nepali culture. Bhaktapur is said to look like what Kathmandu was before centuries ago before the arrival of the modern era. One can observe local artisans shaping pottery, and tour the Durbar Square and its Golden Gate and Palace of 55 Windows.

DAY 12 : DEPART KATHMANDU

Early morning you have to option to do experience the Mountain flight.

Embark on a mountain flight in Nepal for a panoramic encounter with the highest peaks on earth. The plane departs from Kathmandu and flies alongside the Himalayas to give you eye-level views of snow-capped peaks before brining you back in just one hour.

Later in time transfer to Kathmandu airport to board flight for onward destination.
